Recording Assets - Appliances
Under review
When using OneSite (realpage software) from a past job, I appreciated being able to list "assets" for units; which woudl be something that woudl bring the unit value, carry a depreciation. Like when a unit is renovated, or just new carpet installed. If we are able to list details of a model, serial number, brand, and date and vendor of install; we are more easily able to know the details for repairs (getting part numbers) & knowing how many times a maintenance repair has replaced a pump. If the carpet is damaged after 3 years of a full remodel, we know the deprecations value of this and the style of carpet and who installed it.
You can assign appliance to units, and if a fridge goes bad, we generally "rob Peter to pay Paul" and grab a fridge out of a vacant unit, and then we can easily unassign Fridge A1 to #101 and reassign to unit #405, and order #101 a new fridge to quickly resolve the issue.
If there is a good system in place it makes the job alot easier to navigate, living time to get more stuff done. As there's always stuff to do in the property management world.
